An Energetic Crab & Time Runs Amok!
Bob Berman’s 11/17/2008 show is now available with Mission Interface video!
In an effort to provide more of the “Slooh Experience,” we have undertaken the production of video podcasts (videocasts) of selected SloohRadio shows. Video adds a great dimension to episodes where the domes are open and the SkyGuide is commenting on what we are watching.
Unlike audio podcasts, videocasts have some additional criteria that we take into account when deciding whether video will be used. First and foremost is sky and image quality - since Slooh videocasts can be viewed by anyone, we definitely want to employ video when viewing is good or excellent. Second is the impact that video adds to the content - if the SkyGuide is not primarily presenting on the images viewed, it is probably not adding value to publish a videocast.

To inaugurate the publishing of selected SloohRadio episodes here on the Slooh Skylog, we picked a great recent episode of Bob Berman’s Monday night SloohRadio classic, “Bob Berman’s Strange Universe.” Those of you who’ve been around awhile know that Bob’s show has been a regular feature here on Slooh (with a few interruptions!) since almost the beginning.
In this episode, Bob interacts with the Slooh Chat Room to explore a wide range of topics including:
- The nature of space. What we think is empty…isn’t!
- Commentary on Slooh Missions as they happen (audio only, but video in the future!)
- The causality of certain Earth phenomena and the possible role of the Moon.
