Globular Cluster M75
Located nearly 68,000 LY from our solar system and 48,000 LY from the galactic center, M75 is one of four exceptionally remote globular clusters in Messier's catalogue. It also has the rare distinction of a class-I classification.

Veil Nebula Western Segment
(NGC 6960)
The Veil Nebula is the remnants of a star that exploded some 15,000 years ago, an event likely as bright as the Full Moon. This western portion of the entire nebula is also catalogued as LBN 191. The bright star in wide-field is 52 Cygni.
21:05
Veil Nebula (East)
(NGC 6992)
The expanding shockwave of a violent stellar explosion, witnessed some 5000 years ago, excels rapidly through the interstellar medium, illuminating gas, dust, and stellar debris along its way. The entire nebula measures about 50 LY across.
21:10
Mirror Ball Cluster
(M10)
Positioned just two degress S and E of the very similar M12, M10 has a spatial diameter of 83 light years and is one of the brightest globular clusters in Ophiuchus. It was discovered in 1764 by Charles Messier.

Lagoon Nebula
(M8)
This star-forming complex extends across 110 light years, while the dark blobs scattered throughout, Bok Globules, each measure more than 10,000 AU. That bright star cluster within the nebula's eastern half is NGC 6530.
21:50
Inkspot Nebula
(Barnard 86)
This dark butterfly is a mixture of gas and dust so dense that it blocks the light from any stars behind it and is made visible only by those stars surrounding it. The neighboring cluster, NGC 6520, was likely born from this dark nebula.

Uranus
The 7th major planet from the Sun, Uranus' blue-green color is due to methane in its atmosphere. Sometimes the moons Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon can be seen in the high-mag views.
22:05
North America Nebula
(NGC 7000)
High-energy photons emitted from young massive stars born within these clouds are ionizing the surrounding hydrogen, causing it to glow a bright red color. The Pelican Nebula can be seen with this nebula in Dome 1's wide-field view.

Uranus
The 7th major planet from the Sun, Uranus' blue-green color is due to methane in its atmosphere. Sometimes the moons Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon can be seen in the high-mag views.
22:15
Iris Nebula
(NGC 7023)
Dark dusty clouds whimsically surround a bright young star, just 5000 years old, reflecting and scattering its light to create a rare, 'pure' reflection nebula. NGC 7023 is the star cluster, while LBN 487 is the nebula itself.
22:20
Pluto
Now classified as a dwarf planet, Pluto looks like any other star in the high-mag view but you can use successive imaging to spot its motion. Pluto has three known moons. NASA's New Horizons spacecraft is en route to Pluto for a 2015 arrival.

(M16)
M16 actually identifies the bright star cluster within this famous celestial bird, while the nebula itself is catalogued as IC 4703. M16 resides just next door, in our galaxy's Sagittarius-Carina Arm.

Neptune
Neptune's blue tint is due to traces of methane in its atmosphere. This planet has winds reaching 1300 mph, a large storm system similar to Jupiter's GRS, and a faint ring system. The moon Triton is often apparent in the high-mag view.
23:10
Ptolemy's Cluster
(M7)
M7, the southernmost object in Messier's catalog, was described by Ptolemy as the 'nebula following the sting of Scorpius.' This 80-member cluster is about 220 million years old.
23:15
Moon
Many millions of years ago, the moon orbited just 18,000 miles from Earth. Many countries are now focused on various lunar missions, but NASA's is the most ambitious with a manned lunar base by 2018 and at a cost of $104 billion.

Globular Cluster M30
The core of M30 exhibits an extremely dense stellar population, and has undergone a core collapse.
02:10
Globular Cluster M55
M55 is about the distance of most globular clusters and appears quite large at 2/3 the Moon's apparent diameter. It has about 100,000 known members within a linear diameter of 100 LY.
02:15
X Ray Galaxy
(NGC 1097)
Three supernovae have been more recently discovered in this Seyfert-type barred-spiral galaxy, which also has the longest known visible jets emanating from its center. One of those jets, Jet-1, appears to have separated the northern spiral arm.
02:20
Blue Spiral Galaxy
(NGC 1232)
Tidal interaction with a smaller satellite galaxy, NGC 1232A, is likely responsible for the curious bending of this galaxy's own spiral arms. NGC 1232 is a type-SBc spiral, seen face-on, and is a member of the Eridanus cluster.
02:25
Sculptor Spiral Galaxy
(NGC 300)
Once believed a member of the Sculptor Group, this type-SA(s)d spiral galaxy is actually a foreground object residing much closer. NGC 300 was one of the key galaxies of the Araucaria Project.
