What do I get access to as an Observer
Slooh Observer access opens most of the Slooh app for you! You get access to:
Telescope live feeds to snap images from. Pro tip: turn on the telescope live feed in the background for a meditative moment
Satellite live feeds to snap images from using the access of our partner SkyFi. Pro tip: watch for clouds to see how they impact Earth Observation
Bite-sized learning activites (we call them Quests) to learn more about the night sky. Check out the Observer Data Collection Quests to get started! Pro tip: use the image snaps to complete your Quests!
Community with other stargazers! The Slooh community share their Observations for all to see and learn from. Pro tip: Check out the leaderboards and Hall of Fame
Your membership comes with access to a specialized workspace. Meet other people from your local community there and share Observations and start discussions!
The Guides are like your own personal astronomy trail guide. Check out Guides about your favorite object in the night sky. Pro tip: every object guide includes Observations of that object to check out!
How to snap an image
Login to your account
Go the telescopes tab
Click on any Watch Live button
As you watch the live feed from the telescopes you can click the camera icon at the top to snap an image and save it to your photos!
Which Quests do I have access to
You get access to a special set of Observer quests! To access them
Login to your account
Go to https://app.slooh.com/quests
Click learning progressions and find "Observer: Data Collection Quests"
4. Start your first quest!
When are the telescopes online
Slooh's telescopes are located in the Canary Islands, Chile, and Australia allowing for coverage of both hemisphers. You can check which telescopes are online by clicking on the telescopes tab to see the status. If a telescope is offline, clicking on the name will take you to the Telescope page where you can check when it will open and the weather at the site.
How to earn gravity points
Slooh members earn Gravity Points for a variety of actions on the app. You earn GP by:
Snapping an image
Liking an Observation in the Community or in your Workspace
Completing a Quest
Sharing an Observation to a Workspace or by email or social media
Replying and commenting on Observations in your Workspace
Resharing an Observation
When others like your Observations
